What are the benefits of choosing nursery care?

A child at home with one adult needs the stimulation of other children as we need the same from other adults. At home the adult has to carry out all of the household chores in a day, cooking, cleaning, shopping etc. A nursery nurse can spend the whole day playing with and teaching the children as our day is arranged to suit the children's needs.

Also at home we always seem to be saying "No" to the children, at nursery we do not need to do this, the whole nursery is set up especially for the children - sand, water, clay, paints, glue - all of the messy learning materials that we may not be able to have in our sitting room at home.

Children also learn from each other, they develop social skills, independence and a sharing caring attitude towards their friends.

In preparation for school we are pleased to implement the national curriculum, basic skills are monitored and recorded and the information is shared with parents. This way, areas where a child may need more encouragement or help can be dealt with.

Our nursery is registered with the London Borough of Waltham Forest, who have stringent policies on all private day nurseries so the standards of care are thoroughly checked.

The staff are trained and supported in all areas of childcare. We have a strong support system for all adults in the nursery so there is the added safety of no one person bearing the pressure of childcare problems alone.
