Jelly Beans
Our Jelly Beans group have a spacious, bright, airy play space catering for a group of sixteen children.
There are four nursery staff caring for a group of sixteen children, aged between two and three years.
The staff use the Birth to Three Matters framework to plan for each of the children's individual needs. A key worker will keep a detailed folder with photos of your child learning through play, written observations, development reports and samples of artwork from your child to record their progress.
The nursery day provides a wide range of opportunities for the children to explore and experience both inside and outdoors. Inside they have a permanent role play area, this may be a hospital one day or a restaurant, travel agents, hairdressers, beach, florist or a nursery with dolls and teddies another. Other activities include construction toys, puzzles, a cosy, cushioned quiet area to look at books, computer area and art and craft such as chalking, painting, sticking with various materials.
In the outdoor environment, the children can run, climb, play ball, ring games and ride bikes in our large garden. There is also a decked gazebo for picnics and for the children to relax with a book if they choose.
Mealtimes are a fun social time with the children encouraged to develop self help skills by serving their own meals and pouring their drinks.
